CBC -Pam - CBC -Pam is an antidote, prescribed for organo phosphorous poisoning. Indications: CBC -Pam is an antidote, prescribed for organophosphorous poisoning. But is not effective as an antidote for all types of pesticide poisonings. Contraindications: Contraindications in patients with known hypersensitivity to the drug and Carbamate pesticide poisoning. Dosage: Adult: IV/IM- Used in combination with atropine. The recommended dose is 1-2 g, repeat dose after 1 hour, then 8-12 hourly if needed. Usage: It comes as a solution for injection to be administered by a healthcare provider into the vein, muscle or under the skin. Precautions: Caution should be exercised in patients with history of myasthenia gravis, kidney disease, during pregnancy and breastfeeding. Monitor breathing, blood pressure, oxygen levels, kidney function regularly while taking CBC -Pam. It may cause drowsiness, blurred vision, or dizziness, do not drive a car or operate machinery while taking CBC -Pam. Side Effects: Most Common - Blurred vision, double vision, impaired accommodation, dizziness, headache, drowsiness, nausea, muscle weakness, and fast heart rate. Warning: Avoid excess dosage.
